LUNDY ELEMENTARY

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

In early May of each year we hold a kindergarten registration and orientation for the upcoming school year.  Parents and enrolling kindergartners are encouraged to attend.  More information will be available in early Spring.

In order to begin kindergarten in the fall of 2010, a child must be five years old by September 1, 2010. We must also have an immunization record and birth certificate on file. These may be brought to the kindergarten registration held in May or to the Lundy Elementary office in June or August. In order to begin school, kindergartners must have had at least one dose of each immunization that is required (DTP, Polio, MMR, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A and Varicella).

GRADES 1 THROUGH 6

RETURNING STUDENTS

Lundy Elementary does not conduct annual registration for returning students.  On the first day of school, each student will receive a packet of update forms.  It is important that the forms be returned to your child’s teacher as soon as possible so that we have updated medical information, new addresses and phone numbers.

NEW STUDENTS

New students may enroll during the month of August in the Lundy Elementary office.  The Lundy Elementary secretary will request records from the previous school.  However, if your child is on an IEP, it would be helpful if you could bring a copy of the IEP to the office when you enroll your child.

If you are moving into the Lowell School District when the school year is already in progress, please come to the Lundy Elementary office to enroll your child.  There is a one day waiting period between enrollment and the student’s first day of class in order to provide an opportunity for materials to be prepared.
